New York has some of the best high school football teams in the United States. These teams often send their top players to play college football. MaxPreps released the New York Top 25 High School Football Rankings 2023. In 2023, many teams are thought to have a good chance at winning a state championship.

Cardinal Hayes is another team to watch in 2023. Ty Blanding, a senior running back, is their star player and one of the best in the state.
Iona Prep is always in contention for a state championship. They have a powerful offense and a tough defense. Rashard Perry, a senior quarterback, is known for his explosive playing style.
Archbishop Stepinac is also a strong team this year. They have a talented roster, including four-star defensive lineman Dillan Fontus. Fontus is a top college football recruit in the state, and he’s expected to lead Archbishop Stepinac far in the playoffs.
Christian Brothers Academy is a rising team with a young but talented roster. Junior quarterback David Clement is a promising talent in the state.
