The history of Florida High School Football
The history of Florida High School Football stretches way back to the old days, like around the 1900s. They had their first big championship game in 1923, and folks have been loving it ever since.
Some of the really good high school football teams in Florida are St. Thomas Aquinas, Miami Central, and Lakeland. St. Thomas Aquinas has won a whopping 28 state championships, Miami Central’s got 16, and Lakeland’s got 15.
Florida has given birth to some awesome football players who’ve gone on to do big things in college and even the NFL. Guys like Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson, and Tim Tebow all started out playing high school football in Florida.
Nowadays, Florida High School Football is a huge deal. Lots of people go to the games, and the players are like hometown heroes. It’s something Floridians are super proud of, and it’s probably gonna stay popular for a long, long time.
